Halloween’s over, which means…THE HOLIDAY SEASON! I’ve been aching to deck my house for the holidays. Granted, we don’t have any decorations, besides tree ornaments and stockings, but I’ll figure it out and it will be magical! However, this can be a rather stressful time and I’ve already marked up my whole November calendar. Seriously! So I’ve reached into my bag of tricks and I just have to share my 2 tricks to look and feel your best so you can rock the Holidays!
First, Start your mornings right! I always start with vitamins and LOTS of WATER to keep me feeling my best from the get go. And second I always follow my Fashion Golden Rule to help me look my best in no time.
Nature Made® is the #1 Pharmacist Recommended brand for many key dietary supplement categories*. With their huge selection I can get my women’s multivitamin, my hair/skin/nails vitamins, and also an extra dose of vitamin C to help keep me strong through cold season. And if you’ve ever had a cold set you back a week, it’s truly just as exhausting as the cold it’s self to catch back up on all your laundry, dishes, work, etc.
If I can do a little things like taking vitamins and feel a difference in my health, it’s a no brainer. Nature Made® has a variety of vitamins, minerals and supplements (VMS) to help support nutritional gaps with your health goals in mind ranging from Digestive Support, Heart Health & Function, Energy Metabolism, Women’s Health and much more!†
And after all is said about the benefits of taking vitamins and how easy it is find all the Nature Made® product that I love right at Walmart for a great price… After all that is said, there is only one thing that tops them all. Gummies. Need I say more? For me, it just seriously makes me love taking my vitamins now!

After my morning water and vites, I often have to quickly get ready for what ever I have going on that day before I drop Travis off at school. This is where my FASHION GOLDEN RULE comes in handy.
I call it my “Fashion Golden Rule” because of the “golden two thirds proportion rule” in art and photography. The way I see it, your daily style or look comes down three basic components, Clothing, Hair, and Makeup, and in order to look put together you need at least 2 out of the 3 components on point.
For instance, if you don’t have time to wash and dry and style your hair (who does?), then focus on wearing a great outfit and doing your makeup. Then when you pull your hair into a messy bun, it looks intentional! That’s actually exactly what I did in the first example below. I photographed how each combination of Clothing, Hair, or Makeup work together. Scroll through to see how I implement each of the three options of my Fashion Golden Rule.
1st Option: Dressed up and Make up Done, Messy Hair Don’t Care
It’s amazing how makeup and clothing can make your bedhead look stylish, so this is probably my favorite. My life as a busy mom doesn’t include much time to shower without kids around… so I often skip the hair washing step in the shower. (psst… they also say it’s good to not wash your hair too often, so let’s just say that’s my reason. okay? okay!)
2nd Option: Make Up Done and Hair Perfect, Lounge Clothes All.Day.Long.
Let’s be honest, if I have my hair AND makeup done, then you can bet I also have nice clothes and I’m probably going on a date or the kids aren’t home. (in other words twice a year.) But we can also be honest and say if you did want to wear your sweatpants, that you’d look smoking hot doing so.
Option 3: Dressed to the Nines and Great Hair, Bare Faced.
And finally, another option that I like if I’ve straightened or curled my hair nice, is skipping the makeup. I can look effortless and carefree, with a “Colbie-Caillat-makeup-is-not-necessary” attitude, by choosing a cute outfit and hair to keep it above hobo level.
At the end of the day, you have to decide that you are worth taking a little time for. It’s probably only going to be “a little time” though so make it count and you will be a better you. Give yourself a good morning start with vitamins and lots of water. And start your day looking good too, because you’ll feel more confident, cheerful, and #GirlBoss level!!!
